A research effected on the various coasts in France and in Italy had, as objective, the comparative study of the different perceptions of coast landscapes. The essential common point of the lands chosen for the research, is mainly their tourism attraction, even if with different typologies between one another. A qualitative enquiry has therefore been effected on site: some local managers as also tourists coming from the same zone but even from other European countries as well as from countries far a way as Australia and United States of America have all been interviewed. The question forms used for the enquiry were structured to be able to gather the perceptions of the coast landscapes/territories in a wide view: from the most naturalistic aspects to the cultural ones passing through the quality of the offer of services. Further to the personal impressions of everyone, the recording has been effected above all on the evaluation of each coast studied as a whole and also in each of its singular particularity. The coasts chosen for this study in Italy, were “Cinque Terre” in Liguria e Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany; while in France, Saint Raphael in “Côte d’Azur”, il Mont Saint-Michel e Arromanches in Normandy.
