An experimental and numerical study about kitchen stoves combustion gas diffusion in a 100 square meters occupied dwelling in Mediterranean climate is presented. Combustion pollutants measurements were carried out by an acoustic infrared spectroscopy (B&K mod.1302), while an acquisition system “Babuc” was used to determine the typical outdoor meteorological conditions. Some questionnaires and interviews were also used to know occupants behaviors as stoves using periods, presence time etc.. Experimental data were used to implement the simulation multizone package “Contam 96”. The numerical model was used to assess pollutants concentration and air flows for outdoor conditions and ventilation system utilisation, that were not experimentally tested. The numerical model showed a good accordance with the experimental results also in not stationary conditions.
