This paper describes new three-dimensional experiments carried out at the University of L'Aquila (Italy) reproducing water waves generated by landslides sliding down a straight steep (1/3) sloping coast. The landslide is represented by an impermeable body. The propagation of the waves along the coast is investigated in details on the basis of run-up measurements. This paper presents preliminary analysis of the experimental data. © 2007 World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract
This paper describes new three-dimensional experiments carried out at the University of L'Aquila (Italy) reproducing water waves generated by landslides sliding down a straight steep (1/3) sloping coast. The landslide is represented by an impermeable body. The propagation of the waves along the coast is investigated in details on the basis of run-up measurements. This paper presents preliminary analysis of the experimental data. © 2007 World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte.
