The research touches one of the most controversial and important topics today: the virtual reconstruction of portions of the city lost due to demolitions or destruction of war. The most difficult task in the reconstruction is to ensure a scientific and philology with archival documents. Very often it is necessary, for the total absence of original drawings, take decisions on building shape which are nevertheless consistent with the context and with similar building types. The reconstruction of the area Via Zanardelli wants to be an example, albeit limited, in this sense.
