Carbonation experiments were performed to investigate the appropriateness of hydrate-amorphous carbonate minerals as well as their transformation products as sink of anthropogenic carbon dioxide. After the direct synthesis of these Mg-carbonates, in order to investigate the morphology of these amorphous materials SEM and XRPD have been used. These products can usefully involved producing advanced materials for industrial application.
