The objective of the study is to analyze the relationship that exists between the theoretical principles of architectural projects and the execution of projects, through the evaluation of execution drawings and the drawings of provisional works, which are useful for building. The study compares different Baroque domes, in particular the dome of the church of San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane, with a few drawings, including those shown within architectural treatises dating back to the XVII and XVIII centuries concerning dome building techniques and carpentry principles.
