This paper intends to illustrate the first results of a research about the mitigation of the dam-ages caused by Natural Risks in the small historical centres of the Italian Inner Areas. The purpose is to develop a Method of analysis and classification of Natural Risks, which provides to the Municipalities a simple instrument to define the risks of the area to allow them to plan efficient mitigation actions. The aim is to systematize the huge amount of information needed to evaluate risks, to produce an intervention priorities ranking, that shows where it is more urgent to operate, in which way and how to manage the economic resources for prevention. Innovative elements are the multi-risk approach and the introduction of the Minimum Urban Structure. Results of the research show that activating prevention and mitigation actions against Natural Risks is urgent, particularly in those fragile territories of the Italian Inner Are-as.

Abstract
Results of the research show that activating prevention and mitigation actions against Natural Risks is urgent, particularly in those fragile territories of the Italian Inner Are-as.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
