Il centenario della borgata giardino Garbatella tra arte e architettura (1920-2020): ricerca e divulgazione

On the Centenary of the garden suburb Garbatella’s founding (18th February 2020), new research has been carried out at the Historical Archive of the ATER Roma, thanks to an agreement with Roma Tre University’s Department of Architecture for the study of documents on the architectural heritage of the Istituto per le Case Popolari of Rome. The history of the neighbourhood, from its founding in 1920 to its completion in the 1930s, has been deepened through the investigation of the Minutes of the Board of Directors and the documents annexed thereto. For the centenary, the Department of Architecture has also promoted the program Garbatella 20/20, within which various interdisciplinary activities for the dissemination of knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the neighbourhood have been organized.
