THz radiation is able of penetrating most of the plastic materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and high density polyethylene (HDPE). The aim of this study will be to detect the presence of structural damage on polymeric materials by using a THz imaging system. Therefore, in this study this experimental system with its components will be described.
