The 'Lina Meneghetti' architectural complex, consisting of a 16th-century building of considerable historical-architectural value, flanked by, and connected to, a 1950s building, was the subject of a restoration and refunctionalization project to be used as a residence for university students. The integration of design disciplines, restoration, structural engineering and plant engineering technologies has allowed the development of a proposal capable of guiding the design choices through a multidisciplinary approach aimed at the functionality of a specialized typology and, at the same time, at the conservation and enhancement of the historical-artistic heritage. The contribution reports the main phases of the case study with particular attention to the urban and social quality in relation to the inclusiveness of the historical building in the city centre. The experience was approached with the awareness that a residential structure, in order to be truly inclusive, must allow all users to move and orient themselves independently and safely.

Abstract
The experience was approached with the awareness that a residential structure, in order to be truly inclusive, must allow all users to move and orient themselves independently and safely.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
