The research aims to explore the archaeological area of the former Mira Lanza factory, considering both anthropogenic and environmental aspects, in order to understand how this vast "unresolved" space can be reintegrated into the community. Urban redevelopment, therefore, becomes crucial in this context. Discovering pre-existing values, even where they seem absent, allows for the identification of intervention methodologies that integrate renewal, completion, or reuse, avoiding destruction and opening new perspectives for environmental conservation; this approach is also employed in urban redevelopment initiatives such as C40 or CCI and is reflected in the guidelines of the PNRR, which provides for measures in this regard. The multidisciplinary approach to exploring the area of the former Mira Lanza factory, through the combination of historical-cartographic documentation, archaeological survey documentation, instrumental survey, and the consequent three-dimensional reconstruction, has resulted in a comprehensive understanding of the site's layered history, including the presence of Roman-era structures. The chronological and spatial relationships of the site served as the starting point for a redevelopment proposal for the former Mira Lanza area, focusing on enhancing social connectivity, creating a vibrant urban environment, and recovering the historical memory of the area.

Abstract
The chronological and spatial relationships of the site served as the starting point for a redevelopment proposal for the former Mira Lanza area, focusing on enhancing social connectivity, creating a vibrant urban environment, and recovering the historical memory of the area.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
