This paper analyses the major problems of a drone being towed by another drone: this type of 'buddy-buddy' configuration is rather unusual and posed a series of challenges to our study group. In this paper, we will examine the problem of longitudinal stability of a wire-guided (and towed) drone and all the possible problems in order to be able to appropriately size both the vehicle and all the ancillary problems. Furthermore, the major corollary problems of this system are investigated. In the final part of the paper we find the surfaces optimized for the longitudinal stability of the drone.

Abstract
This paper analyses the major problems of a drone being towed by another drone: this type of 'buddy-buddy' configuration is rather unusual and posed a series of challenges to our study group. In this paper, we will examine the problem of longitudinal stability of a wire-guided (and towed) drone and all the possible problems in order to be able to appropriately size both the vehicle and all the ancillary problems. Furthermore, the major corollary problems of this system are investigated. In the final part of the paper we find the surfaces optimized for the longitudinal stability of the drone.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
