The Corpus Signorum Imperii Romani (CSIR), founded in 1963 by the International Association of Classical Archaeology (AIAC), has been provided with a new international scientific committee, in order to ensure its survival despite changing historical conditions. The scientific committee will promote future research, establish guidelines and criteria, and offer a central reference point for the institutions and projects involved.
