In this work, we validate the modeling of a passive Huygens metasurface dome that envelops a patch antenna for the purpose of beamforming manipulation and focusing. Specifically, we demonstrate the effective use of circular array pattern synthesis for modeling the meta-dome by properly discretizing and engineering the phase profile along the dome and by taking into account the actual incident field produced by the antenna.

Abstract
