In this contribution, we present a novel design of diverse frequency time modulated metasurface (DF-MTS) for passive deception in linear frequency modulated (LFM) radar imaging. Thanks to the independent design of both time modulation scheme and diverse frequency concept for each element, a dynamic control of the reflected wave can be achieved enabling the real-time manipulation of the number, amplitude, and position of the false targets generated by DF-MTS. The simulated results show such a radar signature manipulation, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed metasurface to act as electromagnetic countermeasure for achieving radar camouflaging and deception.

Abstract
In this contribution, we present a novel design of diverse frequency time modulated metasurface (DF-MTS) for passive deception in linear frequency modulated (LFM) radar imaging. Thanks to the independent design of both time modulation scheme and diverse frequency concept for each element, a dynamic control of the reflected wave can be achieved enabling the real-time manipulation of the number, amplitude, and position of the false targets generated by DF-MTS. The simulated results show such a radar signature manipulation, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed metasurface to act as electromagnetic countermeasure for achieving radar camouflaging and deception.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
