Shared reading has evolved from being a simple literacy tool to an educational and therapeutic intervention. This study investigates the application of shared reading in hospital schools, analyzing its impact on the emotional and relational well-being of children. The goal of the research is to evaluate how reading can enhance social well-being, reduce isolation, and promote inclusion through an eight-week intervention conducted with groups of hospitalized children. The project methodology includes comparing the results obtained from hospitalized children with those of non-hospitalized children, with the hypothesis that the intervention will lead to significant improvements in emotional well-being and relational skills among participants, reducing the gap caused by prolonged hospitalization.

Abstract
Shared reading has evolved from being a simple literacy tool to an educational and therapeutic intervention. This study investigates the application of shared reading in hospital schools, analyzing its impact on the emotional and relational well-being of children. The goal of the research is to evaluate how reading can enhance social well-being, reduce isolation, and promote inclusion through an eight-week intervention conducted with groups of hospitalized children. The project methodology includes comparing the results obtained from hospitalized children with those of non-hospitalized children, with the hypothesis that the intervention will lead to significant improvements in emotional well-being and relational skills among participants, reducing the gap caused by prolonged hospitalization.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
