In this paper, we present work in progress toward a 'water quality laboratory' that will be hosted and managed on an amphibious rover capable of moving on the water surface. The rover will be used to probe the state of water sea, lake, or similar body of water. We will analyze measurement aspects related to automation, including some design choices. Specifically, we discuss how to design a laboratory aimed at early warning by analyzing chemical and physical parameters, the multiparametric probes used to measure them, and their correlations, which enable the identification of specific types of macropollution. A preliminary implementation of the laboratory, developed according to these criteria, will be presented along with initial measurements.

Abstract
In this paper, we present work in progress toward a 'water quality laboratory' that will be hosted and managed on an amphibious rover capable of moving on the water surface. The rover will be used to probe the state of water sea, lake, or similar body of water. We will analyze measurement aspects related to automation, including some design choices. Specifically, we discuss how to design a laboratory aimed at early warning by analyzing chemical and physical parameters, the multiparametric probes used to measure them, and their correlations, which enable the identification of specific types of macropollution. A preliminary implementation of the laboratory, developed according to these criteria, will be presented along with initial measurements.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
