L'albergo dell'Orso a Roma. Un episodio architettonico all'interno di un sistema urbano complesso

The research investigates a highly stratified urban area: the northern sector of the Ponte district in Rome. The re-reading of the post-unification transformations compared with the historical formative analysis highlights critical issues that have compromised the integrity of the building fabric. The work focuses on the operational consequences, such as the 20th century restoration of the Albergo dell'Orso, and on the cultural ones that have altered the original meaning of the places.

Il contributo indaga un ambito urbano altamente stratificato: il settore settentrionale del rione Ponte a Roma. La rilettura delle trasformazioni postunitarie confrontata con l’analisi storico formativa pone in evidenza criticità e soluzioni di continuità che hanno compromesso l’integrità del tessuto edilizio. Il lavoro si sofferma sulle immediate conseguenze operative, quali il restauro novecentesco dell’Albergo dell’Orso, e su quelle culturali che hanno alterato il significato originario dei luoghi.
