This paper aims to explore the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning within Learning Cities, examining ethical dimensions of AI-powered educational methodologies. It investigates how urban learning environments can leverage AI for personalized learning pathways while addressing crucial concerns of data privacy, algorithmic bias, and digital equity. Focusing on UNESCO’s Global Network of Learning Cities framework, the research analyses innovative approaches to citizen training, ethical AI literacy, and professional competency development. The study identifies strategies for human-AI collaboration that enhance lifelong learning opportunities while ensuring responsible implementation that bridges digital divides and promotes inclusive access to technological innovation.
l presente contributo mira ad esplorare l’integrazione dell’intelligenza artificiale e del machine learning nelle Learning Cities, esaminando le dimensioni etiche delle metodologie educative basate sull’AI. Indaga come gli ambienti di apprendimento urbano possano sfruttare l’AI per percorsi formativi personalizzati affrontando questioni cruciali di privacy dei dati, bias algoritmici ed equità digitale. Concentrandosi sul framework della Rete Globale UNESCO delle Learning Cities, la ricerca analizza approcci innovativi alla formazione dei cittadini, all’alfabetizzazione etica all’AI e allo sviluppo di competenze professionali. Il contributo identifica strategie di collaborazione uomo- AI che potenziano le opportunità di apprendimento permanente garantendo un’implementazione responsabile che colmi i divari digitali e promuova l’accesso inclusivo all’innovazione tecnologica.
