The experience we present concern the Casale della Cervelletta, perhaps the most beautiful and least altered farmhouse in the Roman countryside. Finally, after years of neglect and advanced degradation, the architectural complex, located in the Aniene Valley, thanks to the funds of the PNRR and a more substantial funding from the Lazio Region and the Municipality of Rome, will first be secured and then restored to be returned to the urban community. To do this, the Department of Environmental Protection of Roma Capitale has started participatory planning by entrusting with this activity the Department of Architecture of the Roma Tre University, which has been carrying out restoration workshops for some time both as part of the institutional courses of the bachelor’s degree in architectural sciences, and in that of the II level international Master’s in architectural restoration and heritage cultures. The start of participatory planning aims to involve all stakeholders: public institutions, citizens' associations, future users, in the construction of shared decisions aimed at the recovery of the farmhouse so that it can return to the collective enjoyment without sacrificing its value, an indispensable condition to ensure its good conservation and regular maintenance over time, but avoiding too intensive use that could compromise the already precarious and delicate actual conditions. The synthesized experience is useful to exemplify an operating method that through processes of knowledge and dissemination coordinated by university research groups can lead to shared actions to enhance the cultural heritage and, in the meanwhile, giving opportunities to implement the university education of students interested in becoming experts in architectural restoration.

Abstract
The synthesized experience is useful to exemplify an operating method that through processes of knowledge and dissemination coordinated by university research groups can lead to shared actions to enhance the cultural heritage and, in the meanwhile, giving opportunities to implement the university education of students interested in becoming experts in architectural restoration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
