Employment is considered not only as a professional achievement, but as an essential tool for enhancing the autonomy, well being, and social participation of each person. The qualitative and exploratory research focuses on extracurricular in ternships completed in Malta as part of the Erasmus+ program, promoted by the Italian Fragile X Syndrome Association, analyzing two main dimensions: the preparation and role of companions and the impact of the experience on participants in terms of independent life skills. The use of multiple research tools allows to identify strengths and critical issues in the experiences, outlining strategies to improve their organization. The ultimate goal is to foster inclusive pathways that focus on the quality of life and full inclusion of people with FXS
l contributo esamina l’inclusione lavorativa di giovani adulti con Sindrome X Fragile (FXS) all’interno del più ampio quadro del Progetto di Vita, con particolare attenzione al nesso tra diritto al lavoro e qualità della vita. L’occupazione viene considerata non solo come traguardo professionale, ma come strumento essenziale per potenziare l’autonomia, il benessere e la partecipazione sociale di ciascuna persona. La ricerca, di carattere qualitativo ed esplorativo, si focalizza sui tirocini extracurriculari realizzati a Malta nell’ambito del programma Erasmus+, promossi dall’Associazione Italiana Sin drome X Fragile, analizzandone due dimensioni principali: la preparazione e il ruolo degli accompagnatori e l’impatto dell’esperienza sui partecipanti in termini di competenze di vita autonoma. L’impiego di molteplici strumenti di ricerca permette di rilevare punti di forza e criticità delle esperienze, delineando strategie di miglioramento che consentano un miglioramento nell’organizzazione delle stesse. L’obiettivo ultimo è favorire percorsi inclusivi che pongano al centro la qualità della vita e la piena inclusione delle persone con FXS.
